I only have one child so far but am still breastfeeding him and he is 25 months old. I solely breastfed him up until he was 18 months, then started him on solid foods.
I learned it was the best way to provide balanced nutrition for a baby.
What do you love about breastfeeding?
Bonding and intimacy. Love that he feels safe and secure when he is in my arms.

I love this project. Im so inspired and delighted to see amazing images of women of color breastfeeding. I was so happy to see your comment, Breeze, about introducing solids too. I too felt like delaying until my baby was fully interested was best. Her introduction came at almost nine months and even then it was infrequent and not forced. She really was playing around and still sporadically ate food up until 1 year. It’s wonderful and you don’t even have nutrition worries as long as u are breastfeeding…thanks for sharing
